How to Perfect the Art of the At-Home Striptease
Easy Tips for the Best Striptease
Honey, I’ve got a surprise for you…
Who doesn’t love a good striptease? It’s a classic staple in the art of seduction, building delectable suspense and creating a lustful atmosphere, all without even touching each other. It’s the visual foreplay we don’t always get to enjoy, but when it does happen, it’s electric.
So…what if we wanted to stretch that sultry dance just a little bit longer?
Quick summary (because we’re sure you already know), a striptease is a seductive act in which a person sensually removes their apparel, typically to music. It’s usually a visual experience, unlike a lapdance which would involve touching (but who are we to judge?).
Having a dance background isn’t necessary to give a sexy striptease, but we’ve got some good tips to seriously elevate your performance from the comfort of your own home. Scroll down to learn more!
How To Perform a Striptease
Let’s start with the basics. You need at least three things to give the best striptease:
-
A sexy outfit - Bare minimum, you need something to take off. We recommend wearing at least four pieces of clothing so the dance isn’t over quickly. Don’t slip on a dress or a bodysuit and call it a night, you want the anticipation to build the more pieces you remove.
-
The perfect song - The song sets the mood, so choose carefully. Slow and sultry, cheeky and bouncy, hot and energetic, etc. You’ll also need to dance accordingly, so choose something you’re comfortable with and makes you feel super sexy.
-
Commitment to the bit - You can set the scene, wear the hot look, but if you’re uncomfortable or too nervous to go through with it, it’s going to completely fall through. This is why it’s so important to make your selections based on YOUR comfortability. It may be a performance FOR someone, but it’s YOUR dance. You’re calling the shots and creating that anticipation. You’re the one in control. Own it.
How to Perfect a Striptease
Let’s turn the heat up a notch. You understand what you need to do, but how can you make it even hotter?
-
Go slow - It’s called a “tease” for a reason! Don’t go flinging off your clothes like you’ve just got home from the office, take your time. Slowly pull things down, slowly drag your hands up, start to give a full view and cover it back up, tempt and tease the absolute hell out of your viewer. Even if you choose a song that has a faster pace, you can still make your movements deliberate to the beat of the music.
-
Use eye contact - Do NOT shy away from this! Keeping eye contact is a powerful tool to show that you’re confident in what you’re doing. You don’t need to be weird and stare into their eyes the entire time, but utilize it deliberately. For example, keep your eyes down while you start to remove a piece of clothing, glance up and hold eye contact for a few seconds, look back down while still removing, almost like you’re asking them “Are you seeing how hot this is?”
-
Set the scene - We’re going to hold your hand while we say this, but your messy bedroom with clothes all over the floor and aggressive overhead lighting ain’t it. Light candles, cover lamps with towels to dim the light, clean your space, even spraying perfume can dramatically change the vibe of your striptease. You want your viewer glued to your body, not remembering that they need to do laundry later.
-
Practice - You don’t have to do this on a whim, you can prep for as long as you like. Choreograph your own routine, take a class, learn a dance from the internet, whatever you need to do to ensure that you’re going to give the best performance and feel hot as hell doing it. We know it’s a cliche, but practice does make perfect.
How To Make a Striptease Last Longer
You’ve done all this prep work and have decided that a 3-4 minute song isn’t worth all the effort, so how do we make this tease last longer? Layers, babe.
-
Layer your outfit - Don’t be afraid to add additional pieces to your look! Pop on a micro tri top underneath your regular tri top, which is underneath your mesh crop top, which is underneath your bodysuit, which is underneath your dress….you get it? A micro thong under a regular thong, under fishnet pantyhose, under a boyshort is a sexy surprise too.
Your viewer isn’t going to be upset if they don’t get to see the main attractions right away, they’re going to get even more excited with each piece being removed. How many is she wearing? The world may never know.
-
Create a playlist - You typically want your striptease to be at max ten minutes long, but who are we to tell you what to do? Let your freak flag fly and create a playlist for as long as you’re comfortable dancing. Combining this with the multiple layers of clothing, you could build that sensual anticipation for a really long time, which only leads to good things.
